94.1 The Lake is the community radio voice for Oconee County in an area of Upstate South Carolina which we call “The Golden Corner”. WSNW provides a full-service format that focuses on local news, sports, weather, community events and local involvement. It’s a unique relationship that dates back to 1949, when WSNW signed on as the first radio station in Oconee County. Broadcasting 24 hours daily, 7 days per week, we’re The Lake, 94.1 FM.

Programming

The WSNW format consists of heavy local news and information focused on the residents of Oconee County. The emphasis is always LOCAL. WSNW is proud to offer a unique blend of Music with Today’s Hits and Yesterday’s Favorites.

What really separates WSNW from other radio stations in the area is the local news, sports, weather and community information. Local news updates are heard throughout the broadcast day and bulletins when news occurs. This local coverage is complemented by top-of-the-hour CBS Radio News.

An hourly Community Calendar feature updates local listeners on events in the immediate area.

Music

94.1 The Lake’s music format plays a wide variety of familiar hits. The music is soft enough for office listening, but lively enough to turn up and enjoy. You can hear anyone from Bill Joel to Bruno Mars on 94.1 The Lake, WSNW

Coffee Time

WSNW’s community affairs program hosted by Chad Dorsett, airs weekdays at 9 a.m.

Sports

Live broadcasts of Seneca High School Football and Basketball are heard on WSNW. WSNW is also the Upstates source for South Carolina Gamecock Athletics.

Weather

The station maintains a direct connection to the National Weather Service, providing instant and accurate weather information 24 hours daily. We are also proud to air hourly forecasts from the 24/7 Weather Team at WSPA. When bad weather conditions threaten the Golden Corner, listeners depend on 94.1 The Lake, WSNW!
